In August of 1967, after traveling across the country during the hottest time of the year without air conditioning, the Esmay family settled in Lake Havasu City when Greg Esmay was 12 years old. Those early settlers are known as Lake Havasu City Pioneers, and Greg's family is proud to be a part of that small distinguished group. Greg, his dad and his two brothers, were very involved in building Lake Havasu City. Greg was fortunate to learn the electrical trade, and at the age of 23, he became an electrical contractor. At that time, he started his own business, Esmay Electric, which continues to be a thriving, family owned business for 43 vears now. In 2008, Greg decided to research the possibilities that solar electric could bring, and after much research, he found that SunPower was at the top when it came to solar industry standards. In 2010, his business relationship with SunPower began and SunPower by Esmay Electric was born.
